Last week, I was honored to be invited as a speaker at Deal Done Serbia, hosted at the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) National Training Centre in Stara Pazova.
My presentation focused on the process of designing and implementing a recruitment model within a football club
Starting from a club's vision, methodology and strategic objectives, I explored how these foundations can be translated into a coherent recruitment structure, covering talent identification, evaluation frameworks, decision-making processes and player transiction protocols.
Using Venezia FC as a practical case study, I shared my perspective on how recruitment can move beyond scouting alone and become a strategic function capable of connecting sporting identity, long-term planning and player progression.
It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with football professionals from different countries and discuss the evolving role of recruitment within modern football organisations.

It was both a great honor and a real pleasure to take part in DealDoneSerbia as a speaker. There, I met so many professionals from all over the world - people involved in scouting and the broader football world.
Was especially useful to listen to the presentations of my colleagues from other clubs - that's an invaluable exchange of experience! Of course, the networking with all the forum participants was also extremely enjoyable and interesting.
I hope my presentation on the balance between data analysis and live scouting also made sense. You can't do without numbers these days, but don't forget that they can be misleading or give an inaccurate picture. Balance and context matter a great deal.

Today has been one of the most rewarding football networking experiences I have had in recent years. From insightful panel discussions and thought-provoking presentations to honest conversations about the future of football, talent development, scouting, player representation, club operations, and international transfers, the quality of knowledge shared has been exceptional.
What has impressed me most is not just the content of the summit, but the people. In just one day, I have had the privilege of meeting scouts, club owners, sporting directors, agents, football executives, and decision-makers from different parts of the world. Every conversation has opened a new perspective and created new possibilities. As a FIFA Licensed Football Agent from Nigeria, events like this remind me that football is truly a global language. The connections being built here have the potential to create opportunities for talented players, clubs, and football proiects across continents. And this is only Day 1.
I am leaving today inspired, energized, and excited for what the next few days will bring.

Looking back at the Deal Done Serbia conference held at the Football Association of Serbia, it is hard not to reflect on what a great experience it was.
It was a pleasure to attend on behalf of Gecić Law and to be part of such a well-oraanized international event right here at home. Over two days, the conference brought together professionals from across the football industry, creating a great opportunity for insightful discussions, exchanging views, and catching up with colleagues and friends.
While all the panels were excellent, the standout for me was Roy Vermeer's presentation on the new FIFA RSTP. The timing was quite unusual: the new regulations were actually published right between the two days of the conference, making the discussions even more timely and relevant. While many sports law colleagues have already shared their views, it is clear that the new RSTP will remain a major topic of discussion for some time. It will be particularly interesting to see how it impacts the transfer market once it enters into force on 1 January 2027.

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Deal Done Serbia, representing Cube Football Analytics alongside my excellent colleague, Kinga Czifra.
Participating in events like this is always a rewarding experience, and this edition was no exception. The atmosphere was outstanding, the presentations were insightful, but as always, the real value came from the people.
In addition to returning home with many valuable new connections and strengthened existing relationships, I was reminded of something important: while structure, efficient processes, and optimized systems are essential, but they are not everything. Sometimes, flexibility, spontaneity, and a less rigid agenda can create even greater opportunities for progress and success.

It was a pleasure to be part of Deal Done Serbia Summer Edition and contribute to the discussion on modern football scouting.
I would like to thank the organisers (Edvard Markovic) for the invitation and for bringing together so many people passionate about football recruitment and player development.
Special thanks to Goran Svilar for his outstanding moderation, insightful questions and for creating an environment that allowed for an open, dynamic and meaningful exchange of ideas.
A brief thank you as well to my fellow panelists for sharing the stage and contributing to an engaging discussion from different perspectives. Damnjan Jorgić, Tibor Volford, Kuntić Zoran.
What I will remember most, however, are the conversations that followed after the panel ended.
I was genuinely encouraged by the number of scouts, agents, club representatives and football professionals who approached me afterwards to discuss the ideas presented during the session. The questions, feedback and thoughtful exchanges reinforced something I strongly believe: football is evolving rapidly, but there is still a growing appetite for deeper discussions about scouting, decision-making, recruitment processes and player development.
Many of the conversations centred around a message I tried to emphasise during the panel:
Modern scouting is not simply about finding players. It is about making better decisions, reducing uncertainty and understanding who a player can become, not only who he is today.
The fact that so many people wanted to continue the discussion beyond the stage was both rewarding and motivating. Meaningful conversations with people who challenge your thinking, share their own experiences and genuinely care about improving the game are one of the most valuable parts of events like these.
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, shared their views and took the time to continue the conversation afterwards. I look forward to staying in touch and continuing these discussions in the future.

Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking at Deal Done Serbia, a very professionally organized event that brought together numerous experts from across the football industry.
The main focus of the event was the winter transfer window, and in my talk I addressed scouting strategy and risk management during this period. It is a highly exciting topic, as the winter window is often associated with increased risks, but at the same time offers valuable opportunities to strengthen the squad in a targeted and effective way.

Last weekend, on the 13th and 14th, we had the honour of being speakers at the Deal Done event, where we also took on the role of ambassadors of Cameroon.
Our presentation focused on African talents and the work of Mega Sports Management, with the winter transfer window as the central theme of the event, a period when decisions are made that shape careers, clubs, and the entire dynamics of the football market.

During 2 days event at Belgrade,I had in-depth discussions with sporting directors, head scouts, and chief data analysts from several mid-sized and smaller European clubs--including Bologna, Hannover 96, Nurmberg, Sturm Graz, Famalicão, and Poznań- and also built meaningful connections with dozens of European football agents who attended.
Previously, my understanding of European football's ecosystem and professionalism came mostly through a screen, lacking that firsthand feel. But this trip showed me that even clubs outside the continent's elite operate with remarkable structure and sophistication-from scouting networks and squad building to data analysis and youth development.
It's precisely this deep professionalism that sustains the entire football industry in Europe, creating opportunities for nearly everyone who enters it.
The key takeaway? Get out there. Get involved.

Hi Edvard, I arrived back home safely on Monday. It was a bit stressful since then, but I wanted to thank you again so much for your hospitality and the amazing event you organized in your country! I've hardly ever seen such a great first edition of an event and such a collegiate and familiar atmosphere at an event that at the same time was on a very high professional level. What an incredible weekend at Deal Done Serbia 2025!
Just wrapped up two intensive days at the magnificent Sports Center of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) in Stara Pazova.
This groundbreaking international football business event brought together agents, club directors, scouts, investors, and industry leaders from across Europe and beyond for high-level panels, exclusive networking, and insightful discussions on transfers, scouting, technology, and the future of the game.
A massive thank you to the organizers for creating such a professional and inspiring platform. Serbia is truly stepping up as a key hub in the global football industry!
Already looking forward to the next edition.
I spent the weekend in Stara Pazova attending the Deal Done Serbia event. Ilt was great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new people, as well as exchange experiences.
A few intense days at the heart of the football business in Belgrade!
Meetings with clubs, exchanges with scouts, live games, and real market insight.
Attended Deal Done Serbia, the conference hosted at the Serbian Football Federation and perfectly organized by Edvard Markovic and his team, gathering sporting directors, clubs, scouts, agents, lawyers, and industry leaders around the winter transfer window.
Most importantly, great connections to further develop the bridge my agency STEP is building to move top talented players from Africa to Europe.

Last weekend (13-14 December), I attended Deal Done Serbia, a two-day event focused on how the football transfer window really works, representing MSN Sports Management.
It was great to be in the same room with agents, scouts, club directors, lawyers, and other sports professionals, sharing ideas and real-life experiences from the transfer market. The talks were insightful, the discussions honest, and I picked up a lot of practical takeaways that I'Il definitely use going forward.
What I enjoyed most was the networking - meeting people from different parts of the football industry, exchanging perspectives, and reconnecting with ISDE lecturers and fellow ISDE alumni, which made the experience even more valuable. Overall, a very well-organized event with a great atmosphere.

This weekend, I attended the Deal Done Serbia in Belgrade. An insightful event with excellent discussions and valuable exchanges with professionals from across the industry.
Two excellent days are behind us, filled with knowledge, exchange of experience, and - above all - people.
Outstanding organization Edvard Markovic, warm hospitality, great networking, and very engaging panels made the Deal Done conference truly special.
It was also great to see some of the IFFA - International Federation of Football Agents members gathered in one place and to feel that rare sense of community and togetherness
And networking... what can I say - so many new connections, conversations, and potential collaborations.
Beyond the formal agenda, there was time for informal socializing as well, because football truly opens doors around the world.
Finally, a big thank you to Edvard Markovic for the idea and the effort to bring us all together. I'm looking forward to future meetings and continuing the stories we`ve started.

It was an absolute pleasure to be a featured speaker this past weekend in Serbia at Deal Done Serbia. The event was excellent with many outstanding football/ soccer professional from every continent of our game.
