Laurent Dechaux is an experienced Sporting Director and recruitment specialist with over 25 years in professional football across Europe and North Africa. He is recognized for his expertise in designing sporting strategies, building recruitment structures, and operating in dynamic and transitional environments.
Currently Sporting Director at HUSA FC (Morocco), he leads the club’s sporting vision, oversees first-team and academy operations, and manages transfer strategy while implementing modern, data-driven recruitment processes.
Previously, he served as Director of Scouting and Recruitment at Omonia FC (Cyprus), where he managed international scouting networks and contributed to domestic success and European competition campaigns. He also held a key leadership role at Grenoble Foot 38 (France), overseeing football operations and structural development.
Earlier in his career, he was Sporting Director at Pafos FC (Cyprus), where he implemented the club’s sporting policy, led recruitment, and developed scouting networks across Europe. He also worked with Nottingham Forest FC Academy (England), focusing on player identification and talent development in the Paris region.
Laurent began his career as a licensed agent, building a strong international network. He is a regular speaker at football conferences, sharing insights on modern scouting, recruitment strategy, and football leadership."
