Last week, I was honored to be invited as a speaker at Deal Done Serbia, hosted at the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) National Training Centre in Stara Pazova.
My presentation focused on the process of designing and implementing a recruitment model within a football club
Starting from a club’s vision, methodology and strategic objectives, I explored how these foundations can be translated into a coherent recruitment structure, covering talent identification, evaluation frameworks, decision-making processes and player transiction protocols.
Using Venezia FC as a practical case study, I shared my perspective on how recruitment can move beyond scouting alone and become a strategic function capable of connecting sporting identity, long-term planning and player progression.
It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with football professionals from different countries and discuss the evolving role of recruitment within modern football organisations.
A special thank you to Edvard Markovic and the entire Deal Done Serbia team for the invitation, the warm hospitality and the excellent organisation throughout the event.
Hvala puno i vidimo se uskoro!
