Marko Jovic is a Legal Associate at Gecić Law, a leading law firm in the Western Balkans with offices in Belgrade and Brussels. He focuses on sports law and labor law, with a particular focus on the football industry. His work includes advising and representing professional players in employment disputes, anti-doping matters, and other sports-related legal issues.
Marko holds a Master’s degree in law, with a thesis dedicated to the legal status of professional football players. This has given him strong knowledge of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP), as well as a clear understanding of the legal and practical issues that players, clubs, and agents face in the football market.
In addition to his legal practice, Marko is active in the sports law community. He has spoken at national and international sports law conferences and regularly takes part in leading football law events and forums, including the FIFA Football Law Annual Review (FLAR). Through this work, he follows key legal developments in football and exchanges views with lawyers, clubs, agents, and other industry professionals.
