Khayran has garnered an impressive background in sports law, establishing herself as a notable professional in the field. Her areas of focus include compliance, good governance, policy, human rights, safeguarding, diversity and inclusion, and legislative and regulatory development.
In her role as the Founding Director of of Sports Legal, she has played a key role in shaping sports law development in the region. Additionally, her commitment extends to being the Chairperson of the East Africa Law Society, Sports Law Committee, where she actively contributes to advancing legal standards in the sports industry across Africa.
She is currently serving as Special Advisor in Sports Law, Governance, and Human Rights with the BOLD Initiative, and an Advisory Board Member at Sports & Crime Briefing, and has served as a Protocol Expert for the H.E.R.O Project.
Khayran is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Football Law at ITTI Sports Institute, further strengthening her expertise in the legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks of international football.
She also lectures at the Academy for Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS), where she teaches in the MBA in Leadership in Sport and ‘Human Rights in Sports’ course, furthering her commitment to knowledge-sharing and academic excellence in the intersection of sport, law, and human rights.
