My first career lasted more than 20 years as a journalist and sports commentator for RTBF (Belgian radio and television) but also as the author of several best-selling books on football. I also covered the World Cup and the Euro and commentated on European Cup and national championship matches. I also presented the number 1 radio talk show in Belgium “Completely Foot” for 14 years. In 2023, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and I seized the opportunity given to me by Royal Francs Borains (young professional club in the 2nd division) to become the CEO of the club. For the past two years, I have been running the club with (a small team of collaborators) one of the smallest budgets in professional football and we have managed to work miracles. I learned a new profession with humility and I have evolved professionally at the same time as the club. The club continues to grow and evolve. This season, our ambition is to participate in the promotion playoffs. This is an exceptional adventure. The club is based in a former mining region and our club promotes the values of humility and hard work.
